Venue hire case study

Breezer Came Back to the UK with a Party in Our Corner Shop

Breezer had been off UK shelves for about a decade. When Bacardi brought it back in July 2025, with three new flavours and a bright new look, it chose a Manchester corner shop for the launch party. That corner shop was BLACK MILK.

Ask The Impossible booked the café from Tuesday 8 to Thursday 10 July 2025 and turned it into the Cornerbop: shelves of everyday essentials, fridges full of Breezer, a DJ booth and a dance floor where the tables used to be.

The brief was a corner shop party: fruit-themed, nostalgic, loud. The windows, door and signage were fully branded so the shop read as a Breezer shop from across Oldham Street, and the interior was dressed with corner shop furniture, props and stock.

The event ran under BLACK MILK's licence with our team on shift and an SIA approved door firm on the entrance. The café was cleared for the build, the party ran on the Wednesday night, and the strike followed on the Thursday.

What Bacardi built

  • The Cornerbop: a working corner shop set, stocked with essentials and the three new flavours, Zesty Orange, Zingy Lime and Crisp Watermelon.
  • DJ sets: Rennie Peters and Manchester's DJ Tarzsa playing 90s and 00s dance anthems.
  • Full frontage: windows, door and signs covered in the new Breezer identity.
